A powerful tale around the birth of feminism in the early 20th century. This story of UK's women's suffrage movement is fascinating and really makes you feel for its characters depicted. Carey Mulligan was a stand out. Her performance was heart felt, powerful and career defining. With some minor issues around pace and Meryl Streep's falsely promoted supporting character (she is in the film for about 2 minutes...they were still 2 ground breaking minutes..anyway), the film is still one that will be loved by many.
