Girl on the train - 4.5/5

Set with low expectations after seeing the trailer once I read the book, I have walked out of the cinema REALLY surprised at how good this film was. While there are changes from the book, it really doesn't matter as the film just grabs you from the start, making it an awesome book to film adaptation. The cast is outstanding led with a powerful performance by Emily Blunt- it's definitely the best work she's done. The media unfortunately keep comparing this to Gone Girl when it bares absolutely NO similarity to it! This is NOT like Gone Girl and it was never intended to be. This is The Girl on the Train and it's a great film...Go watch it!!
