Mother! - 4/5

Half an hour after the film's credits, I am still shaken. Darren Aronofsky pushes his limits with Mother!, a psychological thriller that is hectic and just plain chaos. It could easily send someone into a panic attack if they are too into the film. J.Law gives her finest performance – the movie relies heavily on her to deliver, and she just does not fail. While I give this praise, I saw this with three others. One of them laughed the whole the way through as it didn’t engage them and the other 2 were quite indifferent. Goes to show the divisive nature of art. It’s not one I can say you will definitely love, but it’s worth a watch. If you love it – great, and if you don’t, oh well, hope you at least enjoyed your popcorn.
